Small Walnut Bowl approx 9”x5”, weighing in at a whopping 3 lbs. The tree this and several other pieces shown in our inventory comes from a Walnut tree on our property that the power company had to cut down. It boasts a lot of sap-wood, which results in the significant two-tone coloration. This bowl was turned “green” (meaning the wood had a very high moisture content) and has a wall thickness of slightly less than ½ inch. As it continues to dry it will shrink a little and probably warp because thats what wet wood does as it dries. It might even develop some other characteristics that make each piece one of a kind and unique! It’s a cool piece.
